In Acts 16:30, a man asked Paul the most important question that a person can ask, \u201cWhat must I do to be saved?\u201d\u00a0 Many people answer this question many different ways. But what does the Bible say about how to be saved?<\/p>\n

The first thing we need to understand is that we have a PROBLEM.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFor all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;\u201d Romans 3:23<\/em><\/p>\n

We are all sinners, because we are all born sinners.<\/p>\n

\u201cWherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:\u201d Romans 5:12<\/em><\/p>\n

Adam, the first man, sinned. His sin was passed on to his children and every man since has been born a sinner.<\/p>\n

Can you be without sin? NO!<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.\u201d I John 1:8<\/em><\/p>\n

Have you kept every commandment?<\/p>\n

\u201cFor whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.\u201d James 2:10<\/em><\/p>\n

We must also understand that there is a PENALTY for our sin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What is the payment for sin? DEATH!<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.\u201d Romans 6:23<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>\u201cWherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:\u201d Romans 5:12<\/em><\/p>\n

Not only do we receive a physical death (separation from life), but also a spiritual death (separation from God.)<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.\u201d Revelation 20:15<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cBut the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.\u201d Revelation 21:8<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThen shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:\u201d Matthew 25:41<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>The good news is that God made the PROVISION for us because He loves us.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFor God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.\u201d John 3:16<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cFor Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:\u201d I Peter 3:18<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cFor he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.\u201d II Corinthians 5:21<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cBut God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.\u201d Romans 5:8<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>Christ bore our sins upon the cross as the payment for our sins.<\/p>\n

Now, He offers us salvation as a free gift!<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.\u201d Romans 3:23<\/em><\/p>\n

To accept this gift we must PROFESS Him as Saviour.<\/strong><\/p>\n

God has provided salvation as a free gift, in order to accept this free gift, we must repent of our sin and believe in Christ as Saviour.<\/p>\n

\u201cI came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.\u201d <\/em>Luke 5:32<\/p>\n

\u201cI tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.\u201d <\/em>Luke 13:3<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>Repent:<\/strong>\u00a0to change your mind, turn from your sin, and turn to Christ for salvation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.\u201d Romans 10:9<\/em><\/p>\n

Confess:<\/strong>\u00a0Agree with God that you are a sinner, and only Jesus Christ can save you from your sin.<\/p>\n

Believe:<\/strong>\u00a0believing only in Jesus Christ includes turning to Christ as the only way for salvation, and turning from your way.<\/p>\n

Saved:<\/strong>\u00a0This is God\u2019s promise to you \u2013 that you will be saved from the penalty of your sin through Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

It is not a prayer that saves you, but a choice of the will to believe that you are not okay as you are, and that only Christ can save you from the penalty of your sin.<\/p>\n

Are you willing to repent and believe in Jesus Christ today?<\/p>\n

You can do so right now in prayer. Ask Him right now.<\/p>\n

If you have accepted Christ, He offers you an amazing PROMISE \u2013 Eternal Life.<\/strong><\/p>\n

God has promised us in His Word repeatedly that if we trust in His Son Jesus Christ for salvation, we have eternal life.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,\u201d Ephesians 1:13<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.\u201d I John 2:25<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cVerily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.\u201d John 6:47<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.\u201d I John 5:11<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIn hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began\u201d Titus 1:2<\/em><\/p>\n
