Victory Baptist Church was founded in 1983 under the leadership of the late Pastor Bob Barker.  His desire was to preach and teach the Word of God and did so until the Lord took him home in May of 2016.  Under his leadership this church, to the glory of God, became a church built upon the Solid Rock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Victory Baptist Church is a soul winning, Bible believing, mission minded, Independent Baptist Church.  We have a love for people and a desire to please the Lord.  Although we are not a perfect church we do serve a perfect God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Victory Baptist Church isn\u2019t for everyone, I know that, but we might be for you. If you are interested in serving the Lord, then we have a ministry for you.  If you are interested in learning more about the Lord, then we have a spot for you.  If you are needing to meet the Lord, then please don\u2019t hesitate and click on \u201cfinding Jesus<\/a>\u201d and it will give you a clear presentation on how you can start a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Missions<\/strong>
Faith Promise Missions
\u200b<\/strong>Victory Baptist Church is committed to spreading the Gospel around the world. This begins with our Faith Promise Missions giving. This is the means by which Victory Baptist Church helps the missionaries we support serving all around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doctrine<\/strong>
We, as a body, believe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200bNATURE OF GOD<\/strong>
There is one, and only one, true and living God. He is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, immutable, and infinitely holy. He exists in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This is commonly known as the Trinity. (Deut. 4:35, Isa. 44:6, Gen. 17:1, Psa. 139:1-7 & 102:26-27 & 99:9, Jer. 23:23)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JESUS CHRIST<\/strong>
Jesus Christ is the only begotten of the Father and is the redeemer-savior. He was Virgin born into humanity to identity with man. He lived a sinless, impeccable life and he died on the cross of Calvary as a sacrificial lamb to pay the ultimate price for man\u2019s sin. He is our substitute and God\u2019s satisfaction. His blood is eternal in duration and in power. The blood shed at Calvary is sufficient to cleanse every person that has ever or will ever live. He was resurrected bodily for our justification. He offers every man His eternal life that will come to Him, repent, and by faith believe in the finished work of Calvary. He ascended to heaven after His resurrection and now is making intercession or all those who trust in Him. We believe he is going to return as He promised: literally, physically and triumphantly! (John 1:1-34 & 14:3, Phil. 2:5-7, Isa. 7:14, Matt. 27:33-54, I Cor. 15:3-4, Heb. 9:22, Eph. 1:7, I John 1:7 & 2:1, Luke 24: 1-7 & 24:50-51, Acts 1:10-11 & 2:31-33, Heb. 7:25 & 12:2, I Thess. 3:18, Rev. 19:11-16 & 20:4-6)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HOLY SPIRIT<\/strong>
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and is not just an abstract influence. He is here to convict the hearts of sinners, comfort the saints and to seal the believer. We reject the modern day Charismatic movement with its emphasis on the HOLY SPIRIT and it\u2019s over emphasis of emotions and feelings. (Matt. 28:19, John 16:7-14, Eph. 1:13 & 4:30)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE SCRIPTURES<\/strong>
We believe that the Bible is the divinely revealed, inspired, and preserved Word of God. It is the sole rule for faith and practice for the Christian. The Bible is infallible and in errant. We use only the King James Bible in our teaching and preaching. (II Tim. 3:15-16, II Peter 1:21, John 17:17, Psa. 12:6-7, Deut. 4:2, Prov. 30:5-6, Rev. 22:18-19)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SALVATION<\/strong>
We believe salvation comes through Jesus Christ. One must repent of his sin, and by faith, invite Jesus Christ to be his savior. Man is a free moral agent to choose. We believe once a person has experienced true salvation he is saved for all eternity, secure in the power of Christ. (Luke 13:3, John 1:12 & 5:24, Acts 4:12 & 16:31, Eph. 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, I Peter 1:3-5)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NATURE OF MAN<\/strong>
We believe man is totally depraved from conception, needing a savior. Man was made in the image and likeness of God but Adam, a literal man, by disobedience plunged the human race into darkness and separation from God. We have Adam\u2019s blood flowing through our veins and it is tainted with sin and rebellion. Man stands without defense or excuse in sin. (Gen. 1:26-27 & 3:1-6, Rom. 5:12, Psa. 51:5)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SATAN<\/strong>
We believe there is a literal devil that with his demons would thwart the plan of God if he could. He is the believer\u2019s mortal enemy. (John 8:44, II Cor. 4:4, Eph. 2:2, I Peter 5:8)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE CHURCH<\/strong>
We believe that we are in the Church age, in which, God is building his Body, and at the rapture, the Universal church will be called out. God is working in this age to build his body through the Local church, the place where he expects His people to exercise their gifts that he has given them through the Spirit. (I Cor. 12:13, Eph. 1:20-22 & 3:3-11 & 5:23-24 & 5:32)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE ORDINANCES<\/strong>
We believe God has given the local church two ordinances: baptism and the Lord\u2019s Supper. (Matt. 26:26-29 & 28:19, Luke 22:17-21, I Cor. 11:23-30)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE<\/strong>
We believe that every believer in Christ should walk according to his will and practice scriptural principles as he lives his life before men. Every believer ought to be faithful and loyal to their local church and support world evangelism through said church. Every believer should earnestly and fervently seek to win men and women to Christ. Every believer should strive for peace, if at all possible, in the body. (Col. 2:6, I Peter 2:9, II Cor 5:17 & 6:17-18, I John 2:15, II Tim. 2:19)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ESCHATOLOGY<\/strong>
We believe God\u2019s prophetic calendar is as follows: this age, the rapture, 7 year tribulation on earth and Judgment seat of Christ (believers) simultaneously, the revelation of Jesus Christ, the millennial rule of Christ, the Great White Throne Judgment (unbelievers), heavens and earth purged, eternity ushered in. (II Cor. 5:10, I Cor. 3:11-15, Rev. 20:11-15)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HEAVEN<\/strong>
We believe all those who trust Christ in this lifetime will spend an eternity with Him in Heaven. (II Cor. 12:2-4 & 5:1, I Peter 1:3-5, Rev. 21:22)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200bHELL<\/strong>
We believe all those that reject Christ in this lifetime will spend all eternity separated from God in hell. (Luke 16:19-31, Matt. 5:22 & 29-30 & 23:33, Rev. 21:8)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
